Makarunada is event in Žrnovo place, held outoors. The event starts with „makaruni“ workshop-local homemade pasta and one can learn to make it. Makaruni, pasta is traditionally served with meat sauce. This pasta is homemade to a simple recipe with flour, eggs, oil and water, but requires knowledgeable mixing, kneading and shaping of elastic dough pieces finally rolled around a wooden stick. The “žrnovski makaruni” should be boiled in salted water and served with beef gravy or local tomato cultivars.
